Hotel Deccan Continental opened for business in 1978,
and has evolved over the years for what it is today. The present
Managing Director, Ajit Singh, took over from his father in 1980, and
has run the hotel ever since.
The hotel is ideally suited for seminars,
conventions, conferences, training programs and weddings. In fact, it is
much sought after for group offers and many facilities. It has acquired
a reputation among travelers and for group bookings and middle income
social activities.
This is a good place for budget conscious tourists
who are not looking for five star accommodation and the frills. Ajit
Singh tells me that the Deccan Continental has become known for the
large-scale gatherings it can organize. And he is fully geared for it.
He has the space, the infrastructure and the expertise. Watching a
traditional wedding take place on these premises — the color, the music,
the flowers, the gaiety, the tamasha and the food — is a
worthwhile experience in itself! |
